Subject Matter Expert (SME)/ Business Analyst (BA) – Contract Management

  • Summary: We are looking for an experienced and high-performing individual to join our Product Solutions team as a Subject Matter Expert (SME)/ Business Analyst (BA). The role is responsible for defining the functional solution Contract Management products.

The incumbent would be responsible for following:

  • Lead the product team with your expertise on the Contract management and legal domains.
  • Carry out market surveys and competitive analysis.
  • Conduct gap analysis of the current product and identify areas of improvement.
  • Set a functional roadmap for the product.
  • Identify functional best practices and apply them to the product design.
  • Map product features to the client value that they deliver.
  • Prioritize functional requirements to be delivered in an agile fashion to reduce time-to-market while meeting critical client requirements.
  • Conduct client meetings to elicit client requirements and translate them into functional requirements.
  • Work with the technical architect to ensure that technical requirements serve the functional requirements effectively.
  • Help the product design team to build a design which is highly flexible and caters to a wide spectrum of functional requirements.
  • Provide leadership to the QA team to draw out test plans that simulate client usage patterns.
  • Lead acceptance test efforts before the product goes live.
  • Coordinate with the UX design team to represent client’s point of view.
  • Help the technical team perform estimates by providing them functional specifications and help them decipher functional complexity.
  • Generate the detailed functional requirement document for the product.


Key Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience working in the areas of Contract Management and legal products.
  • Should have been an active contributor in implementation/ roll-out of products in the legal space.
  • Should have in-depth knowledge of Contract Management domain areas with practical knowledge on the ground.
  • Should have in-depth understanding of competitive landscape in Contract Management product space.
  • Strong communication skills including oral, written and presentation skills.
  • Should have exposure to organizational change process that are undertaken in implementation of such products.
  • Experience in conducting client meetings.
  • Understanding of underlying technology is a plus, but not a requirement.
  • Experience of having worked in the Middle East countries is a plus, but not a requirement.
  • Must have demonstrated leadership qualities and should have lead teams of size 20+.
  • Must hold a graduate/ post graduate degree, preferably in Law with expertise in corporate law and contracts domain.
  • An engineering or MBA degree could be an alternate with strong work experience in the said fields.

  • Conformance of the product to gold standards when compared to competition.
  • Product quality measured by in-production defects.
  • Proactive identification of customer requirements.
  • Customer satisfaction and client advocacy.
