Government Sales – Assistant Manager/Executive

Job Description:

  • Have demonstrable experience in Software Sales to Central/State Government & PSU (Public Sector Units) Customers.
  • A deep understanding of Government procurement procedures such as RFPs, GeM Procurement, Rate Contracts, NIC/NICSI etc.
  • Have the ability to build strong relationships at senior levels across Government / Consultants / Partners (System Integrators).
  • Have proven experience of managing end to end Government Sales cycle; demonstrating your experience of closing large deals end to end.
  • You will have the capability to understand technology and be able to whiteboard a solution to Government Customers / Consultants / Partners.
  • You will have a collaborative attitude and be adapt at working cohesively with your ecosystem such as publishers, system integrators pre – sales, product sales, product management, R&D, Legal Services, Channels etc.
  • Ability to spend time in the field with Government Customer / Partners / Consultants to effectively establish value of solutions and strengthen relationships.
  • You will have strong account management skills with the ability to do territory planning account research, relationship building at multiple levels within a single customer, whitespace analysis and so on.
  • Candidate having an excellent customer focus and strong attention to detail.
  • The person should have a learning mindset and one who thrives on ambiguity and is able to well structure the thoughts / services / deliverables in such an environment.
  • Relationship – management, strategic account planning, forecasting, quota attainment, presenting business solutions via sales.
  • Have been driven by revenue / Gross Margin Targets with consistently exceeding targets / quota Q-o-q or Y-o-y.

  • We are looking for a self-motivated senior sales manager who will own, lead and sell to government & PSU Clients / customers as a key result area.
  • Sales Manager, client (Government) facing role with a minimum of 10 Years related experience, having dealt with PSU’s (ONGC, IOCL, LIC, etc.) and 100 % Govt. Organizations such as Railways, State Governments, Defence Army, Navy and Airforce, etc. / Partner Management / Alliances.
